--- Bob, I'm wondering if you are OK with the format change I made to the main page. Care to discuss? Jwiley80 13 April 2007 09:21 (EDT)

Yes, I'm OK With It

I've responded to your SPSU email. I am very OK with student-initiated changes so long as they stay within the limits of the orginal charter of the Wiki project, namely providing a useful source of information.

If I have anything as grand as a vision for the Wiki, it is that the Wiki will become a part of the institutional memory of our students, and to a lesser extent, of faculty, staff, and alumni. You're here to learn your academic subjects; it shouldn't be a struggle to find out where to get food late at night, and which places are within walking distance, to give one example. Since students know more about that kind of thing than any of the rest of us, I'd expect students to be the biggest contributors. (And, there are comparatively a lot of you, too!)

If you're going to contribute to the content, you will necessarily contribute to the structure as well. So, far from being "not OK," I am very grateful that you've contributed your time and talent to improving the SPSU Wiki. Thanks! --Bob Brown 15 April 2007 14:48 (EDT)
